MEET OUR PASTOR

Nestled in the heart of Gaffney, SC, stands Greater Hope Ministries Inc., a non-denominational haven led by its founder and Senior Pastor, Caroline Allen-Jones. A native of Gaffney SC, Pastor Caroline grew up as the eldest of three children under the loving guidance of Mother Rosa M. Allen. Today, she embraces the joys of motherhood through her two children, Roxy and Trey, who are both active in the ministry.

Her spiritual journey began on December 15, 1991, when she delivered her first sermon. She received her ministerial license under the wise tutelage of Bishop Eugene Brooks, the late Bishop David Adams, and the late Samuel Boyd presiding prelates of the Christian Fellowship Church of God. In 1998, she became an ordained minister, after showing a testament to her dedication, from Bishop Lenole E. Brown.

In 2007, she was installed as a pastor of the Way of Life Praise and Worship Center, where she served until the conception of Greater Hope Ministries, in January of 2009.

This ministry has since grown leaps and bounds, both in spirit and infrastructure. A landmark moment came with the acquisition of the former Westlane Bowling Alley and adjacent land, soon to be the new sanctuary home of Greater Hope Ministries. Community engagement remains at the core of Pastor Caroline’s ethos. Her commitment is evident in the support provided to community endeavors such as the Harbor of Hope, Peachtree Center, and Meals on Wheels, just to name a few.

Pastor Caroline’s academic education began with the Cherokee County School District, followed by her pursuit of accounting at Spartanburg Technical College. Merging her love for the scripture and academia, she attained an Associate Degree in Bible Studies from Sparrow Springs Bible College and Seminary. Currently, she’s expanding her knowledge at Southern New Hampshire University with a BA in Social Science, emphasizing Social Psychology. In July 2023, she added another great accomplishment by becoming a certified Life Coach.

An embodiment of faith and service, Pastor Caroline Allen Jones remains steadfast in her mission, drawing inspiration from Isaiah 61:1, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound…”

Pastor Caroline continues to declare “I will bless the Lord at all times, and his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”(Psalm 34:1)
